Core issues of obesity

What determines obesity?

    A. Biological Factors
    B. Genetics
    C. Lifestyle

The answer is… all of the above and not necessarily in that order.

If I am asked: “What determines obesity?” I say: “WHAT YOU PUT IN YOUR GROCERY CART!” Now that is something you have immediate control over.

We shop for groceries and select food almost entirely on impulse and cravings. Why? Because we want our FIX! Unfortunately, this has to change; we must be more concerned with what we put in our cart and ultimately our bodies. If its not going in your cart, its not going in your body.

For example, if you wanted to build a house and you knew you were going to live in it for the rest of your life, would you not build with the best materials available to you? The same goes for what you feed your body: Eat good material! Keep this in mind next time you fill your grocery cart.

A few months ago I blogged about, what contributes to holding people “FAT”?

    1. Environment or lifestyle
    2. Lack of accurate knowledge
    3. Self doubt. For example: “I’ll never be…”

All three of these obstacles can be overcome, and that is why I believe anyone can beat obesity if they have the desire to.
