Seeing results equals long-term success

We will not succeed without results! Logically, humans look at a situation in terms of what they are going to get out of it. So why do most fail to reach their goals? Many are impatient and selfish and often cannot justify the effort required compared to the slow results they are seeing. Their love or addiction to food outweighs the results, which leaves them feeling that it is not worth the effort, and they gradually slip back into their old habits.

Satisfying results are paramount for long-term success. So we need to choose a plan that best fits our lifestyle. It is the only way to stay motivated enough to keep slugging it out when plateaus hit.

  1. Oh…if I can only get my hubby to stick with it long enough to see results! So much easier said than done! (p.s. that chocolate cake looks amazing)

    • I like this comment! It is rare to find a couple that have the same resolve to stay healthy. Everyone needs to make up their own mind before they will succeed. What motivates these individuals is of interest to me…

  2. I do agree. People are to impatient to wait for results. They want it instantly. I wonder why that it? Perhaps human nature like you say.

    • Impatience… it’s an issue I often ponder about. As well as the need for instant gratification! Unfortunately, sweets, fast/junk food provide that quick fix, which overshadows any results one gets from a half hazard approach.

  3. It’s a really interesting concept. Humans crave for results – QUICK results. That is the number one cause of failure.

If you want to succeed, you need to persevere. This applies to everything in life, not just your health and fitness.

    • Yes, perseverance is key. You’re right it applies to everything in life, not just health and fitness. Thank you for your comment and taking the time to read my post, all the best!

  4. I’m definitely one of those who needs results and is very impatient and need it to keep going.

    • Yeah, I think it’s normal… everything in life needs to payback in some way or another, or else it’s deemed not worthy of our time. The key is sticking with healthy eating and exercise long enough to see the results, I like to think of it as an investment that will payoff down the road. 😉
